Chapter two · The old flame, found

Somebody dug up Abel's fire

It burned once, centuries ago, the night Abel sent his own brother to the underworld. Then it sat buried under moss and silence until a curious duck with too much time and too little fear brought it back.

The flame was nearly spent. It could carry 222 ducks through whole, exactly as they were. Every duck after that had to be fed: four in, one out, stripped bare. No feathers, no trinkets, no scars. Just a body and a soul.

On October 3 the fire went quiet. 785 crossed bare. Each one is a character waiting to be written.

    The grumpy duck

    OG ducks, hand-drawn, thick black line, combat stats on-chain. They never followed the flock.

    Stolen eggs

    The devil steals OG eggs and Hell Ducks hatch. Gatekeepers start swallowing souls.

  3. 2022–23

    The portal

    Vaccines breed the 2nd Gen. A portal eats matched pairs and spits out 709 Upside Ducks before it collapses.

  4. 2023–25

    The scars

    First burns, first mutable metadata, first RWA. 6,559 ducks gone into the fire. Too many left to matter.

    The pond opens

    22,953 ducks went in. 897 came out. Same attitude, new waters.

Do I need crypto to try Studio Lite?

No. Studio Lite asks for nothing: no wallet, no email. Build as many characters as you want and share them.

Where do I sign in?

On the Studio itself, with your wallet or your linked Google account. That's where your real ducks, traits and $NONCO live.

How many Ducks 2.0 are there?

897, and the window that minted them is closed for good. The only door still open is Legacy: holders of a 2021 OG or Hell duck can carry it across whole while seats last.

What's a canvas?

A Duck 2.0 with nothing on. You build it with traits, give it a name and a story. When you publish, that look becomes the NFT image on OpenSea.

Can I keep the traits I use in Studio Lite?

No, Studio Lite is for creating. Holders get traits from packs, travel souvenirs, games and the trait market, and those are theirs to wear, fuse or sell.

What is $NONCO for?

It's the Studio's currency: packs, flights, Walkoff entries and more. Every spend burns a piece of it. No new $NONCO will ever be minted; prizes are paid in ETH.

How do I get the 100 $NONCO?

Buy a Duck 2.0 on OpenSea and pay in ETH before December 31, 2026. The credit lands in the Studio balance of the wallet that bought it; sign in to the Studio with that wallet to use it. Accepted WETH offers and transfers don't qualify.

If I buy a built duck, do I get the traits?

Yes. Published traits travel with the duck when it's sold. You get exactly what you see.
