Everything the site says, with the numbers behind it.
Nonconformist Ducks launched in 2021 and did things nobody else was doing: the first burn mechanics, the first mutable metadata, the first RWA, the first in-collection tier system. Four collections, 22,953 NFTs, and a community that stayed through years most projects didn't survive.
The problem is arithmetic. 22,953 NFTs across four collections is too much supply for any of them to matter. The mechanics that made us pioneers in 2021 are standard today. And a static JPEG, however good the art, is no longer a reason for anyone to show up.
So we are collapsing everything into 2,222 ducks and building an economy around them.
2,000 Ducks 2.0. The bare duck body — what the community knows as the 4T. It arrives naked. Everything after that is yours to build: traits, name, story, history. No two will end up alike, because no two owners will make the same choices.
No two Ducks 2.0 are born the same. Each one carries two birth traits, fixed at mint and never editable:
Lineage — OG or Hell, split exactly 50/50 across the 2,000. Your duck remembers which fire it came from.
Body — the base color, in 12 ranks of scarcity:
| Rank | Body | Total supply |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Brown | 260 |
| 2 | Beige | 244 |
| 3 | Green | 228 |
| 4 | White | 212 |
| 5 | Grey | 196 |
| 6 | Light Grey | 180 |
| 7 | Yellow | 164 |
| 8 | Rose | 148 |
| 9 | Violet | 132 |
| 10 | Blue | 116 |
| 11 | Radioactive | 68 |
| 12 | Tattooed | 52 |
The assignment is fixed in advance, not rolled on-chain. Every mint number already has its Lineage and Body decided. The full list stays sealed while the window is open — so nobody can time their burn to fish for a rare body — and we publish a cryptographic commitment of it before the window opens. When the window closes, the complete list is revealed and anyone can verify it matches the commitment.

Everything else — eyes, beak, hair, clothes, story, name — starts empty. That part is yours.
222 Legacy Ducks. Your original duck crosses over whole, art intact, and locks forever — no upgrades, no edits. The 2021 museum, living inside the new collection. Same membership, same rights, permanently frozen art.
Legacy opens after the burn window. Purchased with $NONCO, priced once we see how the burn lands. If you're holding a grail, nothing is being taken from you and nothing needs to be decided today.
Path A — Burn for a Duck 2.0. Four ducks make one. OG or Hell, any combination, 1:1. No token involved, no waiting, no claim list. Burn and mint in a single transaction.
Path B — Burn for $NONCO. Burn ducks for tokens instead. Emission depends on the TYPE trait of each duck — the rarer the duck, the more it emits.
These paths do not mix. $NONCO can never be used to mint a Duck 2.0. A duck goes one way or the other, and that choice is yours.
Both paths open and close together. After 30 days, emission stops permanently. We may reopen a window in the future — that's a decision for later, not a promise.
2nd Gen and Upside are not in this stage. They are not excluded; they enter later with their own mechanism and their own table. Holders of those collections lose nothing by waiting.
$NONCO is created exactly one way: burning OG or Hell ducks through Path B during the window. There is no team mint, no pre-sale, no unlock schedule, no inflation.
Base unit: 1 common duck = 100 $NONCO. Everything else is a multiplier.
Counts below are movable supply — tokens alive in holder wallets, verified directly on-chain in August 2026. Burned ducks are excluded.

On Gatekeepers. Every aspirated soul represents something a holder burned in 2021 — NFTs, keys, potions, things with real cost. That history is read directly from the contract and paid out individually. The 133 movable Gatekeepers hold 3,622 souls between them. The largest single Gatekeeper carries 339 souls and emits 34,300 $NONCO. That is the largest individual reward in the project, and it belongs to the person who made the largest bet.
| Collection | Movable supply | Max emission |
|---|---|---|
| OG | 7,346 | 879,900 |
| Hell | 6,733 | 1,238,700 |
| Total | 14,079 | 2,118,600 |
That is the absolute ceiling if every remaining duck went to Path B. It won't — ducks that go to a Duck 2.0 can't go to token, and Path A alone consumes up to 8,000 of them. The two paths compete for the same finite supply, which caps emission structurally. Realistic emission is well below one million.
Whatever isn't burned is never minted. The token launches deflationary by construction.
When the window closes, emission ends — completely. There is no back door, no reduced rate, no burning old ducks for tokens later. The contract simply will not emit. From that point the supply that exists is all the supply there will ever be, and it can only go down. Every action in the ecosystem burns a piece of it.
When you spend $NONCO on something the Studio sells — a pack, a trip, an entry fee — the tokens leave your wallet and split:
| Destination | Share |
|---|---|
| 🔥 Burned forever | 10% |
| Back into the project | 90% |
The burn is permanent and verifiable — those tokens go to the dead address and nobody sees them again. The rest goes back into the project and returns to circulation as the ecosystem runs.
Buying from another holder is different. A trait, a duck, anything on the secondary market — the tokens go to them, whole. We are not in the middle of that trade and we take nothing from it.
Prices in the Studio are set against the supply actually in circulation, not frozen at a number we picked once. As the token gets scarcer, the number of tokens a pack costs comes down with it.
This is deliberate, and it is the opposite of what most projects do. A price frozen in nominal terms looks principled right up until the token appreciates and a pack costs more than any newcomer will pay. Then nobody new arrives, activity dies, and the appreciation eats the demand that caused it.
So the token gets scarcer and the cost of playing stays reachable. Those two only fight each other if you refuse to touch the price.
Where a blank duck becomes a character.
Every duck is a page, not a picture. It holds the duck itself (viewable large, editable trait by trait), a name you choose, a story you write, badges for what it has done, and its age — how long you've held it.
| Travels with the NFT | Stays with the wallet |
|---|---|
| Traits | Badges |
| Name | Age |
| Story |
You sell a finished character — art, identity, narrative. What you don't sell is your record. Merit isn't for sale; the work is.
Every Duck 2.0 comes with a free starter pack. Eyes, beak, hair — a complete basic look, identical in quality for everyone, so nobody starts behind on luck. It shows you how the machine works and leaves your duck standing in a room full of things it doesn't have yet.
Three rarity tiers at three prices. Common traits appear often in the low tier; genuinely scarce ones only appear in the top. The rarest traits are hard to get on purpose, because whoever pulls one needs to be able to capitalize on it.
Send your duck traveling. It comes back with traits from where it went — seasonal, location-specific, and gone when the trip closes. Retired traits never emit again, which is what gives the trait market a reason to exist.
Each month, ducks are selected for the video series episode. Selection draws on the character you built: the traits, the story you wrote, and the age of your holding. Selected ducks get paid. Your duck stops being an avatar and starts being a character with a career.
One-on-one games between ducks, wagered in $NONCO, with a small tax that follows the standard split. Entertainment the community generates for itself.
Traits are their own on-chain collection (ERC-1155). They live in your wallet, they're yours, and you can sell them.
That matters for two reasons. A rare trait is an asset, not a decoration — pull one and you can realize it. And every trade generates royalties, which is what funds everything in the next section.
10% royalties, enforced. Both on ducks and on traits.
All royalties — duck sales and trait sales — arrive in ETH.
| Destination | Share |
|---|---|
| Project | 70% |
| Team | 30% |
The project's 70% splits evenly between the video series (payments to ducks cast in each monthly episode) and the weekly giveaway (prize pool, drawn weekly, open to every duck).
Rewards are always paid in ETH, never in $NONCO. The token only ever moves in one direction: into the fire. Nothing we distribute puts sell pressure on it.
Hard supply. 2,222 forever. No owner mint, no expansions, no second collection of ducks.
Entry demand. Getting in requires burning old ducks. That puts buy pressure on OG and Hell for 30 days, and the window is the only way in at that price.
Real yield. A duck that earns weekly, in ETH, gets valued on cash flow instead of vibes.
Deflation. Every spend burns 10% permanently. More activity means less supply means every remaining token is a bigger piece of what's left.
Scarcity within scarcity. 222 permanently frozen Legacy ducks. Retired seasonal traits that can never be minted again. Hand-built characters that took months.
External demand. Cemetery 2021 — a revival platform for dead 2021-era projects, fueled by $NONCO — brings outside capital into the token. Designed once the core loop is proven.
| Cadence | What |
|---|---|
| Weekly | Giveaway draw |
| Monthly | Series episode + casting + new trait drop |
| Seasonal | Suitcase destinations, community events |
| Milestones | Legacy, 2nd Gen and Upside, Cemetery 2021 |
Stage 1 — The Burn. 30 days. Ducks 2.0 and $NONCO. Both paths open, both close together.
Stage 2 — The Studio. Character sheets, packs, suitcases, trait market. Token liquidity opens. Weekly giveaway and casting begin.
Stage 3 — Legacy. 222 seats open, priced in $NONCO once the burn tells us what demand looks like.
Stage 4 — 2nd Gen and Upside. Their own conversion mechanism.
Stage 5 — Cemetery 2021. External demand layer.
Low migration. More than half of current wallets have been inactive for years. If migration comes in low, the cap may not fill. That isn't fatal — unminted ducks and unemitted tokens simply never exist, which makes what does exist scarcer. And we can reopen a window later.
Token price during the window. $NONCO is handed out for burning and has no market until the window closes. It should be worth very little at first. That's intentional: we want people burning to play, not burning to flip. Appreciation is a Stage 2 outcome, not a Stage 1 promise.
Royalty dependence. The Pond Fund is funded by trading volume, which is cyclical. Quiet markets mean smaller prizes. We accumulate rather than distribute everything weekly, so the fund smooths across good and bad months.
Newcomer entry cost. If the token appreciates sharply, entry gets expensive for new participants. We address this by pricing against circulating supply, so the cost of playing tracks the token instead of running away from it.
Grails. Nobody is required to burn anything. Rare ducks emit far more $NONCO, and Legacy exists for people who want their original art to cross over intact. If you'd rather hold your Invisible untouched forever, that remains a valid choice.
